Editorial policy
Urban Cinema Review aims to make clear, considered writing about urban moviegoing. Readers should be able to tell what a piece is saying, what supports it and when a correction or commercial relationship is relevant.
Accuracy and context
We check factual statements against appropriate available material before publication and take care with dates, terminology and historical context. We distinguish established information from interpretation and opinion, and we do not present a personal impression as proof of a general pattern.
Independence and partners
Editorial decisions remain separate from commercial arrangements. Any sponsored article, paid placement or partner contribution will be clearly labelled so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. Partner material does not receive a promise of favourable coverage.
Corrections
If a reader spots an error, they can contact us with the article and the point in question. We review correction requests and, when a factual change is warranted, update the article and make the correction clear in context rather than quietly changing its meaning.
Illustrations
Some illustrations may be generated with AI. When an illustration is AI-generated, we identify it as such; illustrative imagery is not presented as documentary evidence of a real cinema, place or event.
