Urban Cinema Review

Write for us

We welcome pitches that open a fresh window onto city moviegoing: a cinema custom, an overlooked part of a theatre visit, or a clear account of how a screening space shapes the experience. Send proposals through the Contact page.

What makes a good pitch

Give us a focused question, the point you want readers to take away, and a short explanation of why the subject suits Urban Cinema Review. Strong pitches have a clear angle, useful context and a defined scope rather than a broad promise to cover cinema culture.

Topics and approach

We are interested in theatre spaces, moviegoing rituals, cinema history and the place of screens in city life. Pitches should be accurate, readable for a general audience and grounded in material the writer can identify. We do not need a finished draft with an initial proposal.

How to send it

Use the Contact page and choose the editorial reason for writing. Include a proposed title, a concise summary and a little about your approach to the subject. Please do not send confidential material or assume that a pitch has been accepted until we reply.
